Artist

I’ve always loved drawing and painting ever since I was a little girl. I am self-taught with a library's worth of YouTube videos, online courses, and books that I have used throughout the years to satisfy my curiosity and grow my skill. For nearly three decades, painting was a creative outlet, a side interest. During those years, I went to college for massage therapy, worked, travelled, went to university and got my MBA, worked some more, travelled some more, then owned a large wellness clinic with 30 staff for eight years before transitioning in 2026 into the full-time professional artistic career I had always dreamed about.

My self-study in art wasn’t necessarily my first choice. I had considered going to a Canadian college for digital animation back in 2001 at the time of Pixar and the original Toy Story. Truth is, I wasn’t skilled enough to get in and even if I had been at that time, the format of these art schools wouldn’t have worked for me. I am visually impaired and have about 10% vision. I was actually born with less. I have had many people point out the irony of my artistic talent given my lack of sight. I’ve always been a believer that there are other ways to accomplish or experience that which we desire, than what we may have been taught or told. If I had listened to all the voices outside my loving circle about what I could or couldn’t achieve in this life, I assure you, my days would be incredibly boring. Fortunately, the universe provided me with a supportive family and the resilience to find my path. It has taken some time; I’ve learned some challenging lessons and definitely made wrong turns along the way. Even so, forgiveness is healing, self-compassion is rejuvenating, and what is meant for us, I believe, will never pass us by. I always wanted to be an artist, and now I am.

I create my art pieces from a place of curiosity and intuition. Meaning I grab onto those moments of inspiration that bubble up out of my belly or float past the back of my head and catch them before they move on. Much of what I create is for the exploration of my own soul and what it needs to express. In doing so, art, in its wisdom, translates those intentions to the observer so they, too, can explore their own soul in a way that is meaningful to them. In this way, I believe art transcends time. A canvas and paint can hold all possibilities. It is the closest thing in my mind to a physical representation of the quantum field where everything all at once is always possible. Any idea you have can be expressed on a canvas in any way you desire to express it. There is no judgement unless you bring it to the session. This is the power of the creative life and the allure it has for me, endless possibility!

I am grateful and honoured to share my art and their stories with you, and to share my story as well. I believe we are all beautiful works of art, with important stories to tell. My passion is to be a catalyst for others to tap deeply into their inner world through creativity and imagination, encouraging the full expression of their authentic self. We are powerful beings and cosmically creative!

Warmly,

Sandra
